The Spirit of Giving and Receiving – For a Joyful Mid-Autumn Season

Continuing the “Spirit of Giving and Receiving” from 2023, in 2024 Hai Au Can Tho proudly carries on the journey of bringing small joys to children in various local communities — for a warm and heartwarming Mid-Autumn season!

In August 2024, Hai Au Can Tho proudly joined the Journey of Kindness as a local donation hub, collecting meaningful gifts for children. In addition, the Hai Au Can Tho office also served as a donation point for monetary contributions through the “Spreading Love” donation box.

We were truly delighted to receive generous support from many kind-hearted individuals near and far. Through this effort, Hai Au Can Tho collected: 26 various stuffed animals, 79 comic books, 7 chess sets, ballpoint pens, toys, and monetary donations.

This year’s Journey of Kindness took place in An Minh, Kien Giang, on September 14–15, 2024. We are thrilled to share that the event was a resounding success, reaching more than 1,000 students with a wide range of exciting activities and diverse gifts contributed by many compassionate donors.

Activity 01: Sponsoring 140 Mid-Autumn mooncakes for the “Mid-Autumn – Lighting the Way to the Future” program organized by the Four Seasons of Wind group.The program took place from September 13 to 15, 2024, at Kim Dong Primary School, Kinh Cung Town, Phung Hiep District, Hau Giang Province.Hai Au Can Tho was truly delighted to support this meaningful initiative. The Mid-Autumn celebration organized by the Four Seasons of Wind group was a great success, filling the schoolyard with laughter and joy on the faces of the children!

 

Activity 02: Co-organizing the “Lanterns Lighting Up Dreams 2024” program
On September 17, 2024, Hai Au Can Tho, in collaboration with Danny Green, co-hosted the “Lanterns Lighting Up Dreams 2024” event at Thoi Lai Town Primary School No. 2, Thoi Lai District, Can Tho City. Together, we delivered 350 meaningful gift packages to disadvantaged students currently studying at the school.

Despite unfavorable weather conditions, the joy never ceased. The warm smiles of teachers, students, and sponsors alike seemed to brighten the day and outshine even the heavy rain.

 

The “Spirit of Giving and Receiving” serves as the foundation for Hai Au Can Tho’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility. Through these meaningful activities, we hope to have brought joy to the children — the young green sprouts who represent the future of our nation.
