According to a 2018 United Nations report, thousands of scientists and experts have reached a consensus that limiting the global temperature rise to no more than 1.5°C will help us avoid the worst impacts of climate change and maintain a livable climate. However, based on current national climate plans, the global temperature is projected to increase by up to 2.7°C by the end of this century. To sustain a livable climate, net zero greenhouse gas emissions must be achieved by 2050.
In response to the Net Zero spirit, in 2024 HAEC developed themed trips for international school students to Ninh Thuan and Lam Dong, regions where forest ecosystems that once faced numerous challenges are now on a path to recovery. Integrated into these trips is the “Greening Ten Thousand Miles” project, aiming to make a positive environmental contribution. As a result, over 2,000 seed bombs have been dispersed in Nui Chua National Park and Bidoup – Nui Ba National Park. These small actions today will help create positive impacts for the future.

Students carried out the ‘Greening Ten Thousand Miles’ project at two national parks: Bidoup Nui Ba and Nui Chua.
